- Next Week’s Tourneys
Before we get into next week’s tourneys, we’d like to remind everyone some important things regarding into signing up for these tournaments:
a) By signing up you are showing your commitment and intention to go to this tournament. FWC then purchases your child’s registration on your behalf.
b) You either need to weigh in with us (If available) or be sure to make weigh ins for that tournament (Either the day before or the day of usually).
c) Remember to try to sign up RIGHT AWAY (Ideally by Monday). Registrations after Monday are not guaranteed to be signed up for any tournament we’re offering. These tournaments do fill up and we’ve already had to tell some parents we’ve been unable to get their kid in.
d) If you are unable to attend for any reason after signing up, you must pay back the registration fee to be eligible to sign up for future tournaments (Usually around $25)
Please just get a hold of us to take care of it when it happens and please don’t make us keep lists and track people down that need to reimburse the club.
With that being said here are our two options this week and some info. Both of our options are District 5 options! For specific info please read the following:
-Arlington Trophy Tournament

A tournament geared towards newer, more beginner kids. Limited to 350 kids, so not a big tournament. Every kid that participates gets a trophy. 4 man round robins for all age divisions. 7th and 8th grade kids CAN NOT do this tournament (Only available for kids up to 6th grade). There are no satellite weigh ins, they are done the day of before your start time.

The tougher of our 2 tournaments. They don’t separate novice/open, they’re all combined into the same bracket. There are NO WEIGH INS for PreK through 2nd grade only. So be as accurate as possible when filling out the form. You still have to check in at this tournament, so don’t forget. PreK through 2nd gets 4 man brackets. 3rd grade and up will be 8 man brackets when possible. There may not be a satellite weigh in option so be prepared to weigh in that day in the morning before your session.

We posted it before but here it is again!
We finally got our Apparel store up and running.

The store closes on Jan 26th, so you’ve got 2 weeks to place orders. The orders will be ready the week of Feb 9th, which is right before our tournament!
- Raffles, Pictures, and Shirts. Oh my!
Also look for Eric this week when coming in through the CTE side. He’ll be hanging out in the CTE commons area. He’ll have everything you’ve been asking about:
-Raffles – Turn them in or get some more!
-Pictures – Pick them up if you haven’t already!
-Shirts – Does your kid still need a FWC Shirt? We’ll have them!
- Practice Reminder
Lastly, we’d like to remind everyone that during practice to please keep the hallways empty and quiet. We can’t have kids running and yelling up and down the hallways. If you hang out at the school during your kid’s practice, please be sure to stick to the CTE commons area. We appreciate your help in this.
