- Pictures!
Most important thing first. Picture Day is this Tuesday, December 9th at Fremont High School. We will plan to start taking pictures at 6:00 pm. We got a lot of kids to go through so this process does end up taken a little bit.
Plan to arrive and ensure you got your singlet and anything else you’d like them to wear to have that iconic wrestling look! Everyone should have received an email already with info on how to order pictures. If not, information will be there to pick up as well.
Please let us know of any schedule conflicts and if there would be any window of time that you are available for that night. If you just have a 15 minute window, we’ll try to make that work to get you int and out.
- Strength and Conditioning
We’d like to invite all kids in the 5th to 8th grade range to have an opportunity to get in better shape outside of our club. It is Winter Strength and Conditioning which is done at the high school. The first week was last week so you’re good to pick up starting this week. Check out the flyer for all the dates in December, Jan, Feb but in short is 4:45pm – 5:45pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This is a great chance to get a little faster and stronger during the wrestling season.
- High School Wrestling Practice
Another opportunity for 5th to 8th grade students is a completely optional practice with our High School Wrestling Coach, Ben Wilcox! On top of being 5th grade or older, we do ask everyone that wants to attend this have at least 1 year experience with wrestling as this practice is coached at a level where the assumption is every wrestler has some knowledge and experience.
These practices are Wednesdays at the High School from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. These practices are currently scheduled to run through our entire season, ending in March!
- District 5 Dual Team
One last thing that is not just for our club but for every club in District 5. There again will be a dual team made of all the best boys and girls of District 5 that will go on to compete in a round robin dual tournament against District 6, 7, and 8. As of right now we don’t have an official date of when those duals will be. But we do have an official date for the District 5 Wrestle Offs which is what will determine who makes the team.
In short, Wednesday, Jan 7th at 6:00 pm we will host all the kids of District 5 that want to try out for the dual team. If you are interested in signing your child up, use the following link and fill out this form:
