1. Practice
Just a reminder that during practice if you are outside waiting in the hallway to please make sure you and your children remain in the hallway. We can’t have kids running up and down the hallway and in other parts of the school. If you are staying at the High School during practice please stay in the hallway right outside of the wrestling room doors.
2. District 5 Duals
It’s that time of the year for the 2nd District Dual Tournament! In order to make the team we must have wrestle offs to determine what our Dual Team will look like.
Wrestle offs for the District 5 Dual Team will be Wednesday, December 18th @ 6:00 pm. I can’t tell you exactly how long it will last as it will depend on the number of kids we have. It will start with weigh-ins (with singlet on) and then right into wrestling.
There will be some changes from last year. This year there will be 2 regional events. We will be in a Round Robin Dual between Districts 5, 6, 7, and 8. The winner of that will face the winner of the other Regional Event (1, 2, 3, and 4).
The dates are not set in stone yet but The Regional Events should be completed by Sunday, Feb 2nd. The Finals will be Feb 16th in Lincoln before the Huskers vs Indiana Duals.
In order to be qualified to wrestle for this District Dual Team you must still be a member of a District 5 club. Clubs may only send one wrestler per weight class (Wrestle offs should be done internally to only send 1 to ours).

Boys Weight Classes:
65, 72, 79, 86, 93, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 170, 195, 250 (14 weights)
Girls Weight Classes:
55, 63, 71, 79, 87, 95, 105, 115, 125, 140, 175 (11 weights)
3. Takedown the Tumor
We would also like to mention a tournament this weekend.

This is not a club tournament. So entry would be at your own cost and you would have to coach or find a coach for your child.
