- New Practice
First off, we want to thank all the parents of the kids for following our new rules regarding parents not being in the wrestling room and hanging out in the CTE Commons Area.
From a coaching stand point, it has actually helped our practices a lot. Having the extra room for conditioning and drills is very helpful. Another consideration is, especially for the younger kids, not having parents in the room does keep your child’s focus on the coaches which does foster a better learning environment. We should be able to progress through these practices a lot quicker and thorough now.
Also, having the hallways clear is a request from FHS that we’re thankful everyone is helping with. Especially with other activities starting soon which will be having constant food traffic around that part of the building.
In the end, we just want to let everyone know we do appreciate your cooperation with this new rule. We do understand it is unfortunate that you are unable to watch your kids at practice. You will see the positives with this system when it comes to tournament time when we have your kids ready to compete! Remember parents, ask your kids what they learned at practice! Especially with the younger kids, have them do some practice at home too!
- Registrations
If you have not paid your $50 registration fee for your child yet, please plan to do so this week. Email us back or message us on Facebook with any questions you may have regarding this. Help us by coming and finding one of the head coaches or board members to get this taken care of. Please don’t make us have to hunt down people.
If you want to also get your $75 singlet deposit taken care of right now we can get that marked off to make the Singlet Check Out night easier. As a reminder, we will be handing out singlets the first week of December. At that point, you will have to pay the $75 to get a singlet.
- Fundraisers
We will have fundraiser sheets at practice today. For those of you needing any still please find a coach or board member to get pointed in the right direction to pick some up. Fundraiser turn in is still planned on being December 1st.
- Coaches
We had some success from our last communications asking for more volunteer coaches to step up and help the club. We have had a handful more step up and help out and we’d just like to say THANK YOU.
