1. Thanksgiving Week

We will be having practice as normal Monday and Tuesday of this week. There will be no practice on Thursday in observation of Thanksgiving. We hope everyone enjoys the holidays! We’ll be back at it Monday, December 1st with practice as normal again.

Another Fremont Wrestling Club Tradition has been our volunteer opportunity at Midland University for Thanksgiving. It is from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. For more information regarding this, please reach out to Eric at 402-720-6359.

  1. CTE Doors During Practice

We want to remind everyone that the CTE Doors can’t be propped open for any reason. This is per FHS . We do understand that there was an issue with doors not being unlocked at the correct times. We are communicating with FHS to ensure that is fixed going forward.

As a reminder, doors are supposed to be unlocked 15 minutes before each practice begins and ends. They lock right when practices are scheduled to begin and end. The time in between the doors are locked by design. If you find yourself locked out and needing in, message us facebook and we can have someone come get you.

If doors are locked during times they shouldn’t be, let us know the times so we can address it and get it fixed.

  1. End of Practice Pick Ups

As a reminder, on Mondays and Thursdays when the later practice gets out at 8:30 and on Tuesdays when it gets out at 8:00, please be sure to be on time to pick up your wrestler. Even though the kids are older, they can’t be left alone after practice requiring board members and coaches to wait after practice. We’re not supposed to be waiting and hanging out in he school either and waiting outside isn’t something we want as the weather gets colder.

  1. Reinforcement of Good Behavior

By now kids of all ages should be getting used to the way we run practice and there are just a few things we’d like to emphasize. While at practice all kids need to be on their best behavior. Wrestling is a contact sport, but there doesn’t need to be rough housing before practice begins. Those are the types of unregulated actions could lead to injury. We don’t mind games being played before practice for the kid’s that are early, we just want to be sure it doesn’t get out of control.

Along those lines, all kids need to be respecting their coaches as well. When coaches give direction and instructions, they need to be followed. Failure to do so will result with us separating that kid from the group and having them sit out until the end of practice. We will then talk to the wrestler’s parents to let them know what happened and why we did it.
