Lots of info in this before the holidays, please make sure you read through it as it answers a lot of questions going around.
1. Westside Tournament
This is our first and only preseason tournament before we officially begin starting in January. The Westside Tournament is reserved for kids in our club that have been here for 3+ years. We do only take more experienced wrestlers to this one.
We are following the same registration process as last year where you want to sign up on Mondays (today) to make sure you get your spot in the tournament. We will try to register people that sign up later but if you remember from last year, when some of these tournaments fill up, they are full and don’t take any more kids.
IF Satellite Weigh Ins are available, they will be held on Thursdays. We will notify everyone if we are doing Satellite Weigh Ins. If there are no Satellite Weigh Ins available we will let you know so you can be to the tournament on time to get weighed in.
Please use the following link to sign up (Event Flyer is on the signup sheet as well)

There is a boys and girls team.
Wrestle Offs for all available spots will be this Wednesday, December 18th at Fremont High School. Weigh Ins from 6:00 – 6:30 with wrestling following right after.
There will be an official date in January where this dual team will do a round robin dual vs District 6, 7, and 8. It should be a super fun experience for everyone involved!
3. Singlets
Monday and Thursday of this week are Singlet Check Out Nights! We will be pulling kids out of practice to get them weighed in and get them a properly fitted singlet that they will use for the year.
As a reminder, a singlet is a $75 deposit that you get back at the end of the year when you return your singlet at our Awards Banquet. We will have a printed sheet of all the kids organized by grade level.
-If you’ve already paid the $75 for your singlet, you’re good.
-If you haven’t, please bring cash or check to get your singlet. We can’t hand it out until it is paid.
Remember, a Club Singlet is required for all of our tournaments (and picture day…more info coming later)
4. Fundraiser
Today, Monday December 16th is also Fundraiser pick up day. Fundraiser Hand Out will be between 5 to 7 pm. We will be handing them out in the commons area. This is the area where we held our Parents Meeting. When you are dropping off / picking up your kids from practice be sure to swing by for your Fundraiser order as well.
5. Raffle Tickets
We will have Eric also hanging around both little kids and big kids practice on Monday and Thursday. Some of you may already have gotten some tickets last week (And possibly need more) and some of you maybe haven’t got any yet.
These Raffle Tickets is for our Tournament (Sunday, Feb 16th). Each wrestler is required to sell at a minimum two books of raffle tickets (40 tickets – $40). At our tournament we have a lot of items to hand out donated by the local community along with our 3 main prizes
1. 65″ 4k Samsung Smart TV
2. 55″ Samsung Smart TV
3. Meta Quest 3 Oculus (There is a misprint on the raffle, it is NOT a Meta Quest 2, but Meta Quest 3!!!)
6. Practice
Let’s finish this out with our practice schedule.
Next week (The week of December 23rd to December 27th) there will be NO PRACTICE! We are taking the week off so everyone can enjoy the holidays with their friends and family. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
We have been approved to come back the week after that, the week of December 30th through Jan 3rd. More details about that week as we get closer. That will bring us to the official start of the season, where we will have tournaments every weekend.
As a reminder, tournaments are not required but encouraged. You can attend as many or as little tournaments as you want.
As always, any questions let us know. We know this was a lot to read through, but we got a LOT going on right now!
