Happy New Years everyone!!!
Just like that preseason is done and we are officially starting the wrestling season.
This week the important messages are our first tournament, district dual team, raffles for our tournament, and photo day coming up!
1) Our first tournament
First tournament is going to be the Omaha Bryan tournament this Sunday. Flyers will be sent out by email and available at practice. As a reminder they MUST be filled out and turned in that night! So by end of practice today don’t leave without turning those in if you want to register your kid for this tournament.
2) District Dual Team
Some of you may be missing practice tonight as you are going to Tekamah to try to be on the District 5 Dual Team. We are still having our regular practice, if you are going out for the dual team we understand you won’t be at practice. Even if you’re going to Tekamah, if you are doing the Omaha Bryan tournament this weekend you NEED to find a way to get the signed flyer back to us. It can be scanned and emailed.
3) Raffles
Starting Thursday we are going to have raffle tickets available to hand out. Each kid is responsible for selling 40 tickets. This is a requirement on top of volunteering for our tournament. These raffle tickets are for prizes available at our tournament. We partner with a lot of local businesses for cool giveaways plus our top 3 prizes are a TV, Oculus, and Nintendo Switch!
4) Photo Day
A lot of you may have already received a text message. But Picture day is coming up Monday, January 8th (Next Monday). Practice next Monday works a little bit differently, our focus is entirely on pictures. All kids regardless of age will come at 6pm. We will take a team photo and individual photos of each wrestler. There are multiple packages to choose from if you are interested in purchasing any. We will still have forms available that day for next Sunday’s tournament.
